Chiropractor
Peter Schulz, D.C.
Dr. Peter Schulz is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician with extensive training and experience in physical medicine, functional medicine, nutrition, regenerative medicine, and anti-aging. He founded Biolyfe after 18 years of practice to incorporate all the evaluation and treatment methods into one comprehensive approach.
He takes a holistic approach to helping people by evaluating all the sources of problems and getting to the root cause. As a lifelong athlete, he has a great interest in preventing aging and age-related diseases and injuries. The best way to do this is to keep moving throughout life. One of his favorite quotes is “If you have an injury that prevents you from moving or exercising, you HAVE to fix it. Stopping moving is the fastest way to age.”
Dr. Peter Schulz graduated from Queens University in Charlotte, NC with a Bachelors of Science in 2001. Dr. Schulz attended the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL where he received a second Bachelors degree in human biology and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2005.
While at Queens University, he majored in Biology and was a 4-year starter on the soccer team. He did many internships in various areas including physical rehabilitation, cardiology, orthopedics, and athletic performance, including speed training for players on the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers. Dr. Schulz had worked a number of years as a personal trainer at a golf rehabilitation center
He furthered his expertise in the diagnosis and management of sports injuries by doing extensive coursework and passing the exam for the designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). This is an extensive course of study in sports injuries and treatment including current concussion protocols. Although sports are a passion of his, he is very interested in body mechanics and helping people resolve neuromusculoskeletal problems, and being healthy.
He has furthered his education and is studying and providing diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound which is a tremendous tool to see muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints in the office. It can often replace the need for an MRI.

Patient Liaison & Rehabilitation specialist
Brian Burgers
I recently moved to Chicago from South Africa where I worked in the sports and rehabilitation industry for over a decade. I graduated from the Cape Institute of Allied Health Science in 2008 where I studied Anatomy, Physiology, Sports massage, Pathology, and Sports psychology, amongst other things.
In 2009 I founded a rehabilitation company that focused on sports conditioning and recovery. As a former athlete myself, I've had a strong interest in sports my whole life. I used my experiences working with professional and non-professional athletes in order to build a rehabilitation center that offered similar services to everyday athletes and office bound individuals while focusing on sports and remedial soft tissue therapies.
After 10 years I was able to take a break and move away from the center and follow my passion working with animals in the wild. Wildlife conservation and safari were my main focus before Covid struck. During this trying time, I was able to help start an advanced genetics laboratory that temporarily assisted with the backlog of covid testing across South Africa. Drawing back on my experiences and connections made in the sports sector, I connected the laboratory with the national sports associations and helped end the extended pause of South African sports.
Moving on a few years, now living in Chicago, my attention and care will be back on individuals looking to improve their lives. Through the use of a wide range of experience and passion for new regenerative health practices I have joined Dr. Schulz and his team and look forward to our team advancing in this exciting field
